Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, directeur général de l’Organisation Mondiale de la Santé (OMS), s’exprime lors de l’ouverture de la 148e session du Conseil exécutif sur l’épidémie de coronavirus (COVID-19) à Genève, en Suisse, le 18 janvier 2021.

Le monde a atteint une situation d' »apartheid vaccinal », a déclaré lundi le directeur général de l’Organisation Mondiale de la Santé, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.

« Le grand problème est un manque de partage. La solution est donc de partager davantage », a-t-il déclaré lors d’un événement virtuel du Forum de Paris sur la paix.

Auparavant, il avait demandé aux fabricants du vaccin COVID-19 de mettre les doses à la disposition du centre de partage des vaccins COVAX plus tôt que prévu, en raison d’un déficit d’approvisionnement dû aux perturbations des exportations indiennes.
